Supply Minister Ali Meselhy said on Tuesday that his meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail covered the new increase in allocations of food commodities distributed on the ration cards.

This came at a press conference held by Meselhy following his meeting with the premier at the premises of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).

He said the government decision to ban rice exports is still effective. The strategic stock of rice is enough, he said, noting that the whole area cultivated with rice hit 1.8 million feddans.
