Egypt and Belarus agreed on Monday to set up a business council to bolster trade and investment cooperation, said Belarusian Ambassador here Sergei Rachkov.
The formation of the council was agreed upon during a meeting between the ambassador and Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil.
The diplomat told MENA that the Egyptian minister showed interest in boosting cooperation with Belarus and setting up joint projects in the machinery domain.
Belarus is also keen on increasing trade exchange with Egypt and develop industrial cooperation, he added.
Talks also tackled preparations for the third meeting of Egyptian-Belarusian trade committee.
