Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil signed on Wednesday with Deputy Director General of the French Treasury Thomas Courbe a cooperation agreement to develop entrepreneurship.
In statements, Qabil said that under the agreement, the French side will provide Egypt with mobile vending vehicles for youth to help them set up their own businesses.
This deal falls within the framework of boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship, the minister added.
He also expressed Egypt's keenness on benefiting from the French expertise in the field of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As per the agreement, the French side will offer technical assistance to set up these ventures in accordance with international occupational safety and health standards and regulations, Qabil said.
The deal also included a study on providing a French loan to the Egyptian side to purchase 500 mobile vending vehicles to start implementing this project.
