The Egyptian Commercial Representation Office managed to clinch new contracts in May allowing exports at dlrs 30 million to a number of Arab and foreign markets, according to a recent report which Trade and Industry Minister Tareq Qabil received.
Under the newly signed contracts, Egypt will export marble to Poland at 7.5 million dollars, car tires to the UAE at 3 million dollars, vegetables and fruits to Jordan at 1.3 million dollars and to Russia at 200,000 dollars, furniture to Kenya at 100,000 dollars and phosphates to India at 9.4 million dollars, said a statement issued by the Trade and Industry Ministry on Wednesday.
Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Office Ahmed Antar said Egypt will also export food products to the UAE at 6 million dollars, medical equipment to Zambia at 1.7 million dollars, Polypropylene to Spain at 600,000 dollars, marble, carpets, furniture and plastic products to Algeria at 500,000 dollars, food products, vegetables and fruits to Canada at 125,000 dollars and food products to Iraq at 125,000 dollars.
