Trade Minister Tarek Qabil underlined Egypt's keenness on boosting bilateral economic relations with Africa as one of the most promising markets for the Egyptian products.

This came during his meeting on Sunday with his Togolese counterpart Bernadette Legzim-Balouki on the sidelines of Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe, currently visiting Egypt.

The two sides discussed means of bolstering bilateral cooperation in economic and commercial domains during the upcoming period.

The meeting also took up Togolese side's aims of capitalizing on the Egyptian expertise in upgrading industry, especially in medical and food manufacturing.

Meanwhile, Qabil said that Egypt's trade ministry has started the implementation of an inclusive strategy that aims at increasing trade movement and rates of Egyptian exports through setting up five Commercial representation offices in Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, Djibouti and Côte d’Ivoire.

He added that a Togolese delegation will pay a visit in the upcoming period to a number of Egyptian factories to get acquainted with investment opportunities in order to boost commercial ties.

Qabil further said that Egypt will be the guest of honor of the Lomé 2016 international exhibition, slated for November and December.
