Paris - MENA
France on Friday welcomed the signing of a €440 million deal to extend the third metro line in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.
In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry said that the deal was concluded between the Egyptian National Authority for Tunnels and a group of French companies.
The Egyptian companies of Orascom and Arab Contractors will take part in the project, the statement added.
The deal reflects deeply-rooted relations between Cairo and Paris, the ministry noted.
