The CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) met on Tuesday with a delegation of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and discussed means of boosting joint businesses.
The meeting took up cooperation in the field of electronic industry and infrastructure, a GAFI statement said.
GAFI CEO Mohamed Khodeir posted the delegation on steps taken by the Investment Ministry and the authority to create an investment-friendly climate.
He stressed the importance of encouraging Korean investments in Egypt, calling Korea a partner in the development movement and a supporter of the Egyptian economy.
"We have a clear investment vision meant to lure more investments that should contribute to improving services offered to Egyptian citizens and creating jobs for youth," Khodeir said.
South Korea ranks 46th in the list of foreign countries investing in Egypt, with a total capital worth 64.3 million dollars put into 107 companies
