New car registrations in Germany, a key measure of demand in one of the most crucial sectors of Europe's top economy, rose in May, data showed on Tuesday.
A total 274,804 new cars were registered last month, an increase of 5.2 percent compared with the same month in 2013, according to data compiled by the federal automobile agency, KBA.
In April, new registrations had fallen by 3.6 percent.
Taking the first five months as a whole, new registrations rose by 3.4 percent to 1.261 million units, KBA calculated.
