Iceland saw its balance of trade decrease slightly to a surplus of 45.3 million U.S. dollars in September from a surplus of 55.4 million dollars in August, according to a press release issued Friday by Statistics Iceland.
Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 449.9 million dollars (freight on board or FOB) while the value of imported goods amounted to 404.6 million FOB in September, the press release said.
Both figures increased 30.2 million dollars and 40.3 million dollars respectively when compared with August.
