The Iraqi security forces foiled an attack by the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terrorist group on the University of Tikrit, in Salahuddin province on Thursday.
"The security forces foiled an ISIL attack on the University of Tikrit, in downtown Tikrit city, and killed seven of the terrorists," a security source said, adding that two of the terrorists' vehicles were also set on fire during the clashes
