Displaced people in Yemen

The Japanese government decided on Friday to offer 2.4 million dollars in aid of the displaced people in Yemen and the Yemeni refugees in Djibouti and Somalia.

In a statement, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said the aid supplies include providing medical services, foodstuffs and other.

This move comes in response to appeals by some international organizations and as part of friendly relations between Japan and Yemen, the statement added.

Thus, the Japanese aid to Yemen hits 40 million dollars since the start of insurgency there in September 2014.
