Japan's unemployment rate stayed relatively low in April, at 4.1 percent, the government said Friday. The number of unemployed people dropped 240,000 from a year earlier to 2.91 million, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said in a preliminary report, while the number of people with jobs rose 370,000 to 63.12 million. By industry, retail and wholesale services as well as education added jobs in April, but manufacturing and consumer-related business reduced payrolls, according to the ministry.
