The South Korean government said Monday it will purchase 370,000 tons of locally produced rice as part of a national stockpile, a move also aimed at controlling local prices.
The amount of fresh crop to be purchased remains unchanged from the previous year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
