First-half earnings by South Korea's listed firms edged up 0.36 percent on-year, the bourse operator said Monday, with growth limited by weak showings by some of the country's major conglomerates.
The combined net profit of 493 firms listed on the main bourse came to 37.48 trillion won (US$36.96 billion) on a consolidated basis in the January-June period, up from 37.34 trillion won registered a year earlier, according to the data compiled by the Korea Exchange (KRX).
