A large US business delegation will arrive Sunday to Egypt on a three-day visit, during which it will meet with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, Cabinet ministers and businessmen.
The 160-strong delegation comprises executives and senior officials from 66 major US companies, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham Egypt) Anis Aclimandos said.
This visit is a strong show of commitment to the economy's long-term prosperity and stability. The delegation of corporate executives is organized and hosted by the US Chamber's US Egypt Business Council (USEBC), the Egypt-US Business Council (EUSBC) and AmCham Egypt, the chamber said in a press release.
This visit is set to pave the way for the major economic conference that Egypt will be hosting next year and will shed the light on many available opportunities for US investments within a number of key sectors. The business delegation will include global and regional heads of many of the biggest multinationals across a range of industries and sectors, including energy, ICT, infrastructure, health, industrial production, agribusiness, aviation and other sectors.
The visiting delegation will be led by Chairman of Apache Corporation and Chairman of the US Egypt Business Council, Steve Farris, President of AmCham Egypt, Anis Aclimandos and Chairman of the Egypt-US Business Council, Omar Mohanna.
