A group of Qatari businessmen and private sector representatives met Thursday with delegates from companies in London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) who are currently visiting Doha.
Held at Qatar Chamber of Commerce of Industry (QCCI), the meeting discussed investment opportunities the ongoing development projects in Qatar open up. It also saw bilateral meetings that touched on partnership opportunities between the two sides and available spheres of cooperation.
Qatar and the United Kingdom enjoy strong ties on all fronts, particularly in the economic, cultural and educational areas, QCCI Vice Chairman Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Tawar said, noting that today's meeting is a chance for both sides to forge commercial partnerships in different fields that benefit the two sides.
He added that Qatar has many available commercial opportunities, especially with rapidly growing sectors such as energy, tourism, manufacturing, logistic services and agriculture.
In turn, LCCI senior international business executive Ruma Deb said several British firms were able to find a place in the Qatari market, adding that companies represented in the visiting delegation want to have a stronger presence in Qatar in order to be part of the country's vision ahead of hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
