Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov met with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon in Moscow to discuss the issues related to the cooperation between the two countries, Interfax cited the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying Wednesday.

"A meeting was held between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Ryabkov, and US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Thomas Shannon. The counterparts discussed the issues of the bilateral agenda, as well as a number of pressing international issues," the ministry said.
