South Korea's tax agency is planning to turn a temporary task force in charge of regulating the underground economy into a regular body in order to intensify its crackdown, sources said.
Since her inauguration in early 2013, President Park Geun-hye has been pushing to regulate the underground economy in a bid to crack down on shady business activities and bring in more tax revenues that are needed to carry out her expanded welfare spending.
