Sudan will host a meeting, the first, on energy cooperation between Sudan and China on May 22-24.

The Sudanese side will be presided by Sudan's Finance and Economic Planning Minister Badr al Din Mahmoud Abbas.

Sudan's Oil minister Mohamed Zayed Awad stressed the importance of a planned visit by the Chinese delegation.

The visit will open prospects for greater cooperation in the field of oil and gas between the two countries, Awad said
