The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Azerbaijan reached 4 billion dollars, said Azerbaijani ambassador to Egypt Tural Rzayev. 

This came during a meeting held between Qalyubia Governor Reda Farahat and the Azerbaijani ambassador on Monday to discuss ways of boosting bilateral cooperation and exchanging economic activities between the two countries. 

Egypt plays a key role in the Middle East, the ambassador said, adding that his country is keen on promoting cooperation with the North African country.
