Unemployment in Germany

The number of unemployed people in Germany rose slightly to 2,871,000 in July, Federal Employment Agency (BA) announced from its headquarters in Nuremberg on Thursday.
There are 39,000 more unemployed people in July than in June. The unemployment ratio increases by 0.1 point to 6.6 percent, according to BA's monthly released report.
Frank-J. Weise, president of BA, said that the job market in Germany is stable all in all, and that the impacts of Ukraine crisis are still not to be noticed.
Compared to the number in July last year, there are 43,000 less unemployed people year on year.
"The only reason why unemployment increased slightly is that many young people have just completed their training and are looking for a job," Bavarian Radio cited Federal Labour Minister Andrea Nahles as saying.
