Gaza - KUNA
The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said that it has been handing out food rations to some 47,000 Palestinian families across Gaza since early Sunday.
The distribution campaign, which will last 10 days, comes to ensure that people in Gaza receive enough food, said an UNRWA statement.
It also aims to address the needs of rampant unemployment and refugee families who are striving to rebuild their destroyed homes and livelihoods, it added.
The targetted group are of the most in need category, and represent families who are not currently receiving any help from the UN agency. UNRWA employees will be exempt.
