The Vietnamese economy grew by 6.2% in the third quarter of 2014.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment said today that the growth was a result of strong exports, which increased by 14.2% to $107 billion. The main exports of Vietnam are oil, shoes and technology equipment.
The Vietnamese economy has been performing well in 2014; it achieved a 5% increase in the first quarter. The second quarter saw an increase of 5.4%. The government is aiming for growth of 5.8% for the entire year.
