The World Trade Organisation (WTO) National Committee held its eight meeting. Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani chaired the session, in the presence of members representing the Government departments and other related parties.
The panel discussed the successful workshop which was held last October on implementing the trade facilitation agreement, stressing the positive impact on trade exchanges between Bahrain and its partners, which would increase foreign investors’ confidence in Bahrain’s business environment.
It discussed a proposal to set up a technical committee in charge of following up the implementation of the trade facilitation agreement. It also reviewed preparations to take part in the 11th WTO meeting which will be held in Buenos Aires this month.
