Primaduta Awards winners and Indonesian embassy officials

Saudi companies Jarir Marketing Company and Mokhbel Al-Khalaf Son’s Trading Establishment won the prestigious Primaduta Awards 2016 conferred by the Indonesian government for promoting trade between the Kingdom and Indonesia.
“In order to honor the important role and recognize the contribution of Saudi businessmen in increasing Indonesian exports to Saudi Arabia, the government of Indonesia conferred the two Saudis companies with the prestigious Primaduta Awards,” an Indonesian embassy official said Thursday.
He informed that the winners were symbolically presented the awards by the Indonesian President Joko Widodo during the opening ceremony of the 31st Trade Expo Indonesia in Jakarta in October and received by the Indonesian ambassadors on behalf of the buyers, importers, distributors and selling agents who were the winners.
To present the award to the winning Saudi companies, the Indonesian embassy in Riyadh recently held the 2016 Primaduta Awards Ceremony in its premises.
The awards were presented directly by the Indonesian Ambassador in Riyadh, Agus Maftuh Abegebriel, to the representatives of the winning companies.
The ceremony was attended by dozens of Saudi businesspersons, Indonesian diplomats and other embassy officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Abegebriel said the Primaduta Awards were conferred by the government of Indonesia to importers and buyers who are strongly committed to doing business with Indonesia. He expressed hope that the awards could become a stimulus for the winners and other Saudi companies to increase their imports from Indonesia and further maintain a strong relationship with their Indonesian partners.
He said that in today’s world of global uncertainty, cooperation and alliance should be forged better than before.
He pointed that by working together, especially in enhancing trade cooperation between the two countries, the total trade value between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia could be doubled to reach $15 billion by 2020.
Hazeem Mikati from Mokhbel Al Khalaf Sons Trading Establishment, one of the winners, said: “I hope this award motivates us to continue strengthening our trade network with Indonesian businessman in the years to come.”
Echoing the sentiment, Adel Mazi from Jarir Marketing Company, said that he was pleased to deal with Indonesian suppliers as they are known for their high commitment and hoped to find better opportunities to do business with Indonesia.
