Etisalat, U.A.E.'s telecom operator, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ras al-Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZ) to enhance operational efficiency through the implementation of advanced telecommunications and ICT services.
The agreement was signed yesterday by Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Managing Director of RAK FTZ, and Abdul Aziz Taryam, CEO Advisor and General Manager - Northern Emirates, Etisalat, at the company’s stands on the sidelines of GITEX Technology Week.
Abdul Aziz Taryam commented, "The agreement signifies Etisalat’s commitment to update and implement modern telecommunications and ICT services and solutions for the UA.E. government sector. Our strategic partnership with RAK Free Zone aims to support the authority in its endeavour to provide its tenants with quality services that rely on a solid ICT infrastructure and systems." Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi said, "We are keen to expand our cooperation with Etisalat and implement the latest communications solutions to improve operational efficiencies internally and quality of service that we provided to businesses at the RAK Free Zone." "Etisalat’s decades of experience and global expertise in telecommunications and ICT will greatly help in our modernisation objective at the free zone," he added.
