GM Korea Co., the local unit of U.S. automaker General Motors Co., said Monday its sales for August plunged 30.4 percent from a year earlier, mainly due to workers taking time off for summer vacation and seasonal factors.
South Korea's third-largest carmaker sold a total of 43,018 vehicles last month, down from 61,773 units sold a year earlier, the company said.
