The Goodrich Corp. has formally opened a new engineering and manufacturing facility in California that supports its aerospace and defense business. The facility is 105,000 square feet and is part of Goodrich\'s Sensors and Integrated Systems operation. Former Goodrich facilities in Diamond Bar, Calif., and Monterey Park, Calif., have been relocated to it. \"This new facility represents a business commitment to continuous improvement that will benefit Goodrich customers as well as employees,\" said Mark Skarohlid, vice president and general manager Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems. \"Our business is growing, and consolidating our two nearby sites into the Brea location allows us to better leverage our talented workforce and other resources to grow our business for years to come.\" Goodrich said the plant will produce rescue hoists, cargo winches, digital data systems and related services. It will also serve a center of excellence, providing software design and support to all Sensors and Integrated Systems sites in the United States and abroad.
