Hankook Tire Co., South Korea's leading tire maker, said Wednesday its first-quarter operating profit dipped 0.7 percent from a year earlier. Operating profit came to 260.1 billion won (US$252.2 million) in the January-March period, down from 262 billion won tallied a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
