Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., the world\'s largest shipbuilder, said Friday that it has clinched a US$1.4 billion deal to build 10 container vessels. Under the deal with United Arab Shipping Co., Hyundai Heavy will deliver the vessels starting in the second half of 2014, the company said in a regulatory filing. The deal includes an option to build an additional seven container vessels in the future. Hyundai Heavy garnered deals valued at $19.6 billion so far this year, achieving 82 percent of its order target of $23.8 billion for 2013.
