Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's No. 1 automaker, said Friday its April sales rose a solid 7.7 percent from a year earlier, helped by demand for both new and steady selling cars at home and abroad. The company's data said it sold 440,194 cars last month, with domestic sales rising 12.9 percent to 65,891. Overseas shipments increased 6.9 percent to 374,303 cars.
