Kuwait Airways hosted a ceremony on Tuesday celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of its office in Egypt.
The airline Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Farraj Al-Mutairi expressed in a speech his happiness on this occasion, stressing that such occasion reflected the strong relations between Kuwait and Egypt.
"It is a dear occasion and brings back memories to most Kuwaitis," Al-Mutairi said, adding that it is a great honor to be among those contributing to "communication and love between people of both countries." Al-Mutairi also expressed appreciation to Egyptian partners and officials in the private and public sectors.
Kuwaiti Ambassador to Egypt Salem Al-Zamanan said in a statement to KUNA, on the sidelines of the ceremony, that Kuwait Airways is one of the oldest airlines in the Arab world, expressing content on the good reputation of the carrier as a competitor in the field of aviation.
Al-Zamanan added that the new spirit in the company as result of purchasing of new planes would enable Kuwait Airways to overcome all the difficulties and will return to offer outstanding service.
Kuwait's Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani expressed to KUNA his joy and pride to witness his country's flag rise through Kuwait Airways in various countries around the world.
Al-Daihani noted on the company's keenness to improve its fleet and services.
