Kuwait's Kharafi group is planning to build a vehicle assembly plant in Egypt's Qena governorate, vice chairman Bader Nasser Al Kharafi said on Tuesday.
Kharafi said the plant is part of the new investments to be channeled into Egypt.
He made this announcement during his meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, who ended his visit to the Gulf nation Tuesday.
The Kharafi family, one of the most influential in the Gulf Arab region, have holdings across various sectors including construction, finance and telecoms.
