Samsung shares dropped more than 7% during trading here Monday, losing $12 Billion off the South Korean electronics majors market value, after a US federal jury verdict said the company had coped designs from Apple. The global intellectual property battle has raised worries in the market about its smartphone business, according to analysts. The jury found Samsung had copied key features of the hugely popular iPhone and iPad and awarded Apple $1.05 Billion in damages in the most closely watched patent trial in years, media reports said. Samsung will appeal the verdict.
