South Korea's major companies are bracing for hard times in September, as they are expected to face unfavorable domestic and overseas economic conditions, a poll showed Thursday.
The Business Survey Index (BSI) came to 93.1 for the one-month period, up slightly from a six-month low of 91.6 predicted for August but still below the benchmark 100, according to a poll conducted on the 600 largest companies by the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI).
