Ssangyong Motor Co., the local unit of Indian sport utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said Friday that it aims to sell 300,000 vehicles in 2016 that will push up total sales to 6 trillion won (US$5.7 billion). In a ceremony marking the start of the 2014 business year, South Korea's fourth-largest carmaker in terms of volume, outlined its "Promise 2016" strategy designed to transform the brand into a global automotive brand by the target date.
