The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) honoured all participating government entities at the official mGovernment stage on October 16th, the final day of GITEX Technology Week 2014.
Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General of TRA, awarded official representatives of all participating government entities for their collaboration on the GITEX mGovernment stand.
Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim was delighted with the degree of cooperation and collaborative efforts between representatives of government entities. This contributed to the overall success of this year’s stand, which attracted a large number of technology experts and visitors interested in the latest smart applications and services launched by the entities to coincide with GITEX Technology Week 2014.
"This year’s GITEX Technology Week was an exceptional platform to showcase the readiness and willingness of all government entities to shift towards a smart government by May 2015. The mGovernment GITEX stand, operated by TRA, was a major attraction point at the exhibition, inviting crowds of visitors to view the latest smart applications and initiatives reflecting the great efforts undertaken by each of the participating entities," said Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim.
"We are very proud of the success achieved by the national talents who oversaw the different stages involved from the preparation process and through to coordination between various bodies. This resulted with them providing detailed explanations and managing discussion panels on the most important government initiatives that were launched in this year’s GITEX," he added.
The GITEX mGovernment stand was comprised of 15 government entities including Ministry of Environment and Water, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Finance, General Authority of Islamic Affairs And Endowments, The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, Emirates Authority For Standardization & Metrology, UAE University, mGovernment, ICT Fund and TRA.
