Benchmark of Amman Stock Exchange lost 6.9 points in the past week trading and volume of daily trades increased 16.9 percent, according to weekly figures of the bourse, publicized on Friday. Benchmark for the week closing dropped to 2,045.7 points, compared with 2, 052.6 points of the previous week, a decrease of 0.24 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector increased 0.54 percent, that of the industries, dropped 2.29 percent and that of the services fell 1.3 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 16.9 million, compared with USD 14.5 million the week before; with an increase proportion of 16.9 percent. Overall volume of trades of the week stood at some USD 85 million, in contrast with USD 43.6 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 61.9 million, done through 23,589 deals. As to sectors\' contributions in volume of trade, financial sector came first, 74.1 percent of the overall trade, followed by industries, 12.1 percent, and lastly services, 13.8 percent. Comparing prices of closing of trading companies, amounting to 172, with previous closing, stock price of 58 ones rose and those of 82 others dropped.
