The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices rose up Thursday backed by share purchases by institutions and local and Arab investment funds.
The market capital achieved gains worth EGP 2.5 billion to reach EGP 392.2 billion after transactions hit EGP 407 million.
The EGX 30 benchmark index soared 1.35 percent to close at 7,253.31 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased 0.51 percent to hit 348.04 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index also rose 0.75 percent to reach 746.8 points.
