Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.16%, at 2,934.1 points, Xinhua news agency reported. 
The smaller Shenzhen index closed 0.18% higher at 10,363.09 points. 
The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, fell 0.26% to close at 2,199.3 points.
