Chinese stocks closed mixed Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.04% to close at 3,091.93 points.

    The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.21% lower at 10,838.71 points. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.49% to close at 2,212.05 points.
