Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.07 percent, at 3,198.99 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component index opened 0.02 percent higher at 10,188.71 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.12 percent to open at 1,902.46 points.
