The Egyptian Exchange said Monday that Tuesday, January 1, will be a day off to mark the beginning of the New Year. The bourse is following the banks' example and will be taking a New Year's Day holiday, official sources told MENA. Work will be resumed on Wednesday, January 2. Banks whose fiscal year ends on December 31, 2012 will be taking Tuesday off but those whose fiscal year ends on June 30, 2013 will be working as usual on the first day of the new year.
