The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 2.1 billion pounds at the end of Tuesday's trading backed by purchase operations by investment funds and financial institutions.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went up 1.02 percent to reach 7,717.35 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up by 0.31 percent to reach 372.5 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose by 0.49 percent to hit 791.08 points.
