Purchases of institutions and local as well as foreign investment funds drove Egypt's bourse indices up at the close of Monday’s trading.
The market capital achieved gains worth 6.4 billion pounds, after transactions reached up to 1.337 billion pounds.
The EGX 30 benchmark increased by 1.23 percent to hit 14197.21 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) also increased by 0.36 percent to hit 780.08 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 0.52 percent taking the index up to 1,755.41 points.
