European stocks climbed Monday with London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares adding 0.52 percent to close at 6,074.52 points.

The CAC 40 in Paris rose 0.59 percent to 4,549.64 and in Frankfurt the DAX 30 gained 0.70 percent to 10,108.61.
