European stock markets rose slightly at the start of trading on Friday, with London\'s FTSE 100 index of top companies up 0.18 percent to 6,112.46 points, setting another new peak since May 2008. Frankfurt\'s DAX 30 index climbed 0.23 percent to 7,725.93 points and in Paris the CAC 40 edged up 0.08 percent to stand at 3,706.43.
