Central Bank of Egypt

A state of anticipation dominated the foreign exchange market for a tender to be offered by the Central Bank of Egypt on Tuesday in light of the sudden rise in the US dollar rate in the previous tenders.

The foreign currency parallel market is also waiting for the CEB move on the US dollar, banking expert Karim Roshdy told MENA.

Foreign exchange companies buy the US dollar for EGP 7.85 and sells it for EGP 7.9, while banks buy it for EGP 7.8 and sells it for EGP 7.83, he said.
