Gold prices rose Tuesday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, climbing $4.80 to hit $1,585.60 per troy ounce. Silver closed up 13 cents to $26.94 an ounce, off 1.18 percent. The euro fell to $1.2068 from Monday\'s $1.2117. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 78.20 yen from 78.39 yen. On the International Exchange, the dollar index rose 0.32 percent to 84.02.
