The benchmark index of the Indian equities market opened higher on Wednesday with the 30-scrip sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, opening at 19,432.54 points, 45.40 points or 0.23 percent higher from the previous close of 19,387.14 points.
